Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever – Psalms 23:6
No matter how beautiful a thing is, man will always desire something newer because his taste for things is short lived. However, there is an exception when it comes to the Presence of God; the more time we spend in His presence, the more we would want to stay. David made the desire for God’s Presence his one and utmost prayer point, “One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the House of the LORD all the days of my life…” – Psalms 27:4. What is so special about God’s Presence that a man will want to spend the rest of his life dwelling there? King David, a man who understood the value of God’s Presence stated in different passages of the Psalms the benefits of His Presence.
Firstly, God’s Presence is a place of FLOURISHING (Psalms 92:13). Secondly, God’s Presence is a place of BEAUTY (Psalms 27:4b). A truly beautiful life is one which is constantly planted in God’s Presence. Thirdly, God’s Presence is a place of JOY, fullness of Joy (Psalms 16:11). Fourthly, God’s Presence is a place of STRENGTH; the more we tarry in His Presence, the stronger we become to face life’s challenges (Psalms 84:6-7). As you step out this day, may you live in and enjoy every benefit of His Presence in Jesus Name.
PRAYER: Father, thank You for the gift of Your Presence to Your Children. I ask for grace to love and continuously live in Your Presence. I ask that You will fill the earth with Your manifest Presence today in Jesus Name!
